1. Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم disallowed people coming in masjid or near masjid, after eating Saum (ثوم) (garlic). : Reference Bukhari: 5451 & 5452; Book no. 70; In English volume no. 7, Book no. 65; Hadees no 362 & 363.
2. Hazrat Jabir رضي الله عنه says that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said those who eat onion (بصل) or garlic (ثوم), be far or disallowed coming in masjid. : Reference Tirmizi: 1806; Book no. 25; In English volume no. 3 Book 23, Hadees no 1806. (Because of its bad smell).

Narrated Jabir Bin Samurah that Hazrat Abu Ayyub رضي الله عنه was staying with Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, whenever any dish (meal) use to come to Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, (respected) Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم use to eat & give me the remaining, one day a dish came, from which Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم did not ate at all, because it contained Garlic (ثوم), Hazrat Abu Ayyub رضي الله عنه asked to Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, is saum (ثوم) (garlic) haraam (حرام)?. 4. Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, He who eats of this plant (garlic) should not approach our mosque and should not harm us with the odor of garlic. : Reference Muslim: 562 B; Book no. 5; In English volume no. 4, Hadees no 1144.

7. Narrated Abu Saeed Al-Khudri رضي الله عنه that the garlic and onions (بصل) were mentioned before Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم & He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “The most severe of them is garlic (ثوم). Would you make it unlawful? 8. Narrated Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه that during the holy battle of Khaibar Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “Whoever ate from this plant (i.e. garlic) should not enter our mosque.” : Reference Bukhari: 853; Book no. 10; In English volume no. 1; Book no. 12; Hadees no. 812.
9. Jabir Bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه reported that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, He who eats of this (offensive) plant, i. e garlic, and sometimes He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, He who eats onion (بصل) and garlic and leek (الكراث), should not approach our mosque for the angels are harmed by the same things as the children of Adam. : Reference Muslim: 564 B; Book no. 5; In English volume no. 4, Hadees no 1147.

11. Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه reported that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said He who eats of this (offensive) plant must not approach our mosque, till its odor dies: (plant signifies) garlic. : Reference Muslim: 561 B; Book no. 5; In English volume no. 4, Hadees no 1142.

Hazrat Umme Ayyub رضي الله عنها says that I prepared a dish for Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم which had many vegetables cooked in it like garlic (ثوم) etc, Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم did not ate it & said I do not like the bad smell coming from my mouth & people getting irritated. : Reference Ibn Ma-jah: 3489; Book no. 29; In English volume no. 4, Book 29, Hadees no 3364.
13. Narrated by Jabir Bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “Whoever has eaten garlic (ثوم) or onion (بصل), should keep away from us, or should keep away from our mosque and should stay at home.” Ibn Wahb said, “Once a plate full of cooked vegetables was brought to the Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم at Badr. Detecting a bad smell from it, He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم asked about the dish and was informed of the kinds of vegetables in contained. He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم then said, “Bring it near,” and so it was brought near to one of his companions who were with him. When Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم saw it, He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم disliked eating it and said (to his companion), “Eat, for I talk in secret to ones whom you do not talk to”. : Reference Bukhari: 7359; Book no. 96; In English volume no. 9; Book no. 92; Hadees no. 458. 14. It is narrated from Jabir رضي الله عنه that a group of people came to Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم noticed the smell of leeks coming from them. He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “Did I not forbid you to eat these vegetables? For the angels are offended by that which offends people”. : Reference Ibn Ma-jah: 3490; Book no. 29; In English volume no. 4, Book 29, Hadees no 3365. (Means because by its bad smell in breath people & farishtaas (angel) of Allah Ta’lah get irritated).
15. Narrated Ata that he heard Jabir Bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه saying, that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said ‘Whoever eats (from) this plant (he meant garlic) should keep away from our mosque.” I said, “What does he mean by that?” He replied, “I think he means only raw garlic (ثوم)”. : Reference Bukhari: 854; Book no. 10; In English volume no. 1; Book no. 12; Hadees no. 813.
16. Narrated Mu’awiyah Ibn Qurrah رضي الله عنه that Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade these two plants (i.e. garlic and onions), and said, He who eats them should not come near our mosque. Narrated by Hazrat Ma’daan Bin Abi Talha Ya’mir رضي الله عنه once Umar Bin Khattab رضي الله عنه in Friday khutba said that if you want to eat garlic (ثوم), onion (بصل), use them in cooked food (means avoid them eating raw & coming in public & also avoid there bad smell in breath or mouth). Science & Hadees regarding Garlic
And if eaten in excessive quantity (raw) may cause people suffer from allergies to garlic and other species of Allium. Symptoms can include irritable bowel, diarrhea, mouth and throat ulcerations, nausea, breathing difficulties, and in rare cases, anaphylaxis. Garlic-sensitive patients show positive tests to diallyl disulfide, allylpropyldisulfide, allylmercaptan and allicin, all of which are present in garlic.
